This weeks question;

June 8th- When it comes to "learning" about your spouse, how much information is too much or too little little in regards to previous "partners, spouses, relationships etc"?

June 3rd- "Making marriage last - what is the key?" Regardless of how many years of marriage you have experienced, there are some things that you have found that has worked, what are those? If you are single, widowed, or divorced, in your opinion what is the key to making a marriage last?

This weeks question is posed as a situation. How would you answer this ladies question.

What is the condition of marriages in and outside of the Church?

Divorce in and outside the walls of the church is becoming more and more consistent. Follow this link for stats on marriages: Marriage. Within divorce, children are involved and are impacted by such a decision. We see children's view of marriage and the conduct of individuals within marriage compromised.
We are jumping into this sermon series with both feet. We are pulling out all of the stops to make sure that individuals can see through God's word that marriage is to be held with honor, commitment and protection.
There are too many affairs, broken homes, abused husbands / wives, and a contorted view of marriage, both in the church and outside the church to allow the household topic be ignored. That is one of the reasons why we are using the controversial title, "Desperate Households". This title is taken from the television series called, "Desperate Housewives" and this may cause eyebrows to raise.

Be sure to visit this site often. We will have resources, materials and other stuff that will be pertinent to our look at "Desperate Households". Also, be sure to leave comments, experiences and testimonies so that others may benefit.

Within marriage there are several components, husband, wife and possible children. These components help create an exciting, fulfilling, and purposeful life. The most important aspect is that individuals within the marriage have a relationship with Christ. If you remove any of the components (though very painful) an individual should still have intact a relationship with Jesus.

Celebrating marriages of 50+ years by having a Golden Wedding Anniversary Celebration
At this event, there will be a photographer available to take pictures of the wedding couples, a reception following the service and a special acknowledgment during our 10:30 service - June 24th
